❤️ Heroes: Body and Mind
Pick a hero to fill in the starting Body and Mind Points of the four core heroes. For pack heroes and custom heroes, choose "Other" and type the numbers from the character card.
👹 Monsters on the Board
Track damage on monsters with more than 1 Body Point. Picking a monster fills in its Body from the classic 1990 North American chart; check your Game Master's screen and change the number if yours differs.
🔮 Spells Used This Quest
Each hero spell can be cast once per quest, then it's gone until the quest ends. Tick a spell when it's cast. The spell names are the classic ones; check them against your own cards.
💰 Treasure Deck
When a hero searches a room for treasure, first check the quest notes for special treasure (only the first hero to search that room finds it). If there is none, the hero shuffles the treasure deck and draws a card.
- Gold or a potion: the hero records it and keeps the card.
- Hazard: do what the card says, then return it to the bottom of the deck.
- Wandering monster: place the monster named in the quest notes next to the hero, roll its Attack dice at once, and return the card to the bottom of the deck.
Forgot the deck, or playing remotely? This virtual deck follows those rules. Set the counts to match your own cards before you start.
Placeholder mix: the counts below are not the official deck. The 2021 rulebook says only that almost half the treasure cards are wandering monsters or hazards. Count your own deck and enter the real numbers.
